Startup acclerator GameFounders has now 68 mentors, including 7 new (Ben Sipe, Nick Perret, Fred Hasson, Jani Karlsson, Kyn Chaturvedi, Jay Moore, David Rangel). We realized that visitors of our website are not checking out LinkedIn profiles of the mentors. We do it for you with three new mentors.
Ben Sipe (USA), Mobile Games Producer at W3i
My personal gaming career started when I was 2 years old. I started out playing Mario, Zelda and other NES titles. Then around the age of 4 I discovered Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. RPG’s helped me learn to read so I was the only kid in pre-school who knew what elixirs and potions were. From the NES system I’ve owned almost every system to date (except Sega Saturn, PS Vita and some of the really odd and unpopular systems)…..
At THQ, Associate Producer – project management for multimillion dollar console titles across all current console platforms (Xbox 360 & Kinect, PS3 & Move, Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Sony PSP and some PC ports as well).
At ValueSoft, Associate Producer – assisted in all the production phases of all ValuSoft’s games.
Nick Perret (UK), Investment Director at Ascension
Nick was most recently Executive Vice President of Jagex, operator of the world’s no.1 free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMO), Runescape. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of 4mm Games, which developed the VGA and BAFTA nominated Def Jam Rapstar, and produced the fastest growing social game on Facebook in early 2010, Dog Show Friends, in conjunction with NBC Sports and Nestlé Purina. He was also part of the founding management team of Image Metrics, an animation software business whose work included the Academy Award winning The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Activision’s Call of Duty and Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto.
Fred Hasson UK), Chairman at Games Capital
